For those of you who would like to share in our remembering and honoring Beth, we now have the details of the family’s plans:
Thursday, August 25th at 7:00 PM at the Bryn Athyn Cathedral, at the intersection of Cathedral Road and Huntingdon Pike, Philadelphia, PA 19009.
In lieu of flowers, the family truly appreciates donations to the “Medical Assistance Foundation” with “Beth Rotondo” in the memo. Checks are sent to The Medical Assistance Foundation Donation Processing Center, 1710 S. Main Street, Fairfield, IA 52556. (Tax deductible. It is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization).
I also have this email from Beth’s friend Linda Hutchings, the other half of the famous “Leo birthday parties”. Please feel free to help her out if you can.
MUSIC-I am moved to offer a musical tribute to Beth’s life at the memorial (if the family welcomes it, of course): is there anyone else musical who would enjoy co-creating something musical from our hearts to honor Beth? I play violin, guitar, piano, sing, write but prefer to work with others rather than solo.
PHOTO-please share photos you have of Beth ASAP (can help you if they are not digital): Cal/email them, and I will be happy to include them in a slideshow I am compiling of Beth’s life, which I hope to share at the Memorial (laptop in a corner?) as a gift for Jiri, and Beth’s family and friends. I will be able to export the slideshow to share with you all once done, but want it to include her whole life, not just what I have collected.
See everyone next week. Be at peace.
Last, this is from Alan V. Schmulker, editor of Hpathy.com:
I wrote a brief obituary for Beth that I sent to the NCH and also published in Hpathy.com. Beth’s presence and influence was so enormous, that no summary could do her justice.
